Akamai signed a four-year, $200 million service agreement with a major U.S. tech company to host a multi-thousand NVIDIA Blackwell GPU cluster on its distributed cloud platform.

2. High-Performance Infrastructure

The GPU cluster leverages NVIDIA Blackwell RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition units with AI-optimized Ethernet networking, ensuring non-blocking, lossless connectivity and linear scalability via NVMe-over-Fabric storage for large-scale AI and HPC workloads.

3. Platform Expansion

Akamai has expanded its global IaaS footprint to 41 data centers and enhanced its Managed Container Service, building on its October 2025 launch of Akamai Inference Cloud to bring AI inference closer to end users.
