Akebia Therapeutics receives Nasdaq deficiency notice over minimum bid price violation
AKBA•
AKBA•Akebia Therapeutics received a Nasdaq deficiency notice after its stock closed below $1.00 for 30 consecutive business days. It has until April 19, 2027, to meet the minimum bid price requirement during an initial 180-day compliance period.
Akebia Therapeutics received the notice on October 21, 2026. It has no immediate effect on the company’s Nasdaq listing. To regain compliance, the stock must close at or above $1.00 for 10 consecutive business days before the initial 180-day period ends on April 19, 2027.
Akebia may qualify for a second 180-day compliance period if it meets other listing standards and gives written notice of its intent to cure the deficiency, including through a reverse stock split if necessary. If it does not qualify for an extension or restore compliance by the end of an extension, Nasdaq would issue a delisting notice, subject to appeal.
