Alaska Air forecasts third-quarter profit below expectations as fuel price rise bites

July 21 (Reuters) - Alaska Air ALK.N on Tuesday forecast third-quarter profit below Wall Street estimates as renewed U.S.-Iran fighting pushed fuel prices higher again.
The Seattle-based airline expects third-quarter adjusted profit to be in the range of $0 per share to $1 per share. The midpoint of 50 cents compares with analysts' average estimate of $1.38 per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
