Alaska Air targets at least 15 intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030
ALK•Alaska Air Group targets at least 15 intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030, up from seven currently served. Its Alaska Accelerate plan aims for $1 billion in incremental profit by 2027, with roughly two-thirds of the target captured.
1. Profit plan advances
Alaska Air Group said Alaska Accelerate has shifted into an activation phase and targets $1 billion in incremental profit by 2027. Roughly two-thirds of the plan has been captured, including $500 million in Alaska-Hawaiian merger synergies.
2. Seattle and cargo goals
The strategy calls for expanding Seattle’s long-haul service to at least 15 intercontinental destinations by 2030, from seven currently served. Alaska also targets $750 million in cargo revenue by 2030, more than doubling the business from current levels.
3. Premium investments
Planned initiatives include a Premium Reserve cabin, new lounges, fleetwide upgrades, loyalty expansion and cargo growth.
