Alaska Airlines adds three Santa Rosa routes and revives Long Beach–Seattle service
Alaska Airlines will launch nonstop service from Santa Rosa to Boise, Phoenix and Salt Lake City starting Nov. 1, 2026, with up to daily E175 flights through April 19, 2027. It will also resume twice-daily Seattle–Long Beach year-round operations from Sept. 8, 2026, and equip its fleet with Starlink Wi-Fi.
1. Santa Rosa Route Expansion
Alaska Airlines will introduce three nonstop routes from Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) to Boise, Phoenix and Salt Lake City beginning Nov. 1, 2026. Each route will operate daily or up to daily on E175 regional jets through mid-April 2027, connecting North Bay travelers to ski and leisure destinations.
2. Long Beach–Seattle Service Return
After a decade-long hiatus, Alaska will resume service between Long Beach Municipal Airport (LGB) and Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with two daily 737 flights starting Sept. 8, 2026. This year-round link makes Alaska the only carrier flying Seattle to all five LA Basin airports.
3. Fleet Connectivity Upgrade
Alaska’s entire regional fleet is already fitted with Starlink Wi-Fi, offering gate-to-gate streaming on new Santa Rosa routes. Starlink installation on its mainline fleet, which will serve the Long Beach–Seattle route, is underway and slated for completion throughout 2026.
