Albemarle appoints Ragnar Udd as chief executive
Sept. 3 (Reuters) - Albemarle said on Thursday it has appointed BHP executive Ragnar Udd as its CEO, tapping an industry veteran to lead the world's largest lithium producer.
Udd, currently BHP's chief commercial officer, will take on the new role on February 1, 2027, replacing Kent Masters.
The appointment comes after BHP's internal memo showed Udd would leave the mining giant at the end of January to pursue a new opportunity.
