Albemarle Q2 FY26 net income swings to profit at $480 million; net sales rise 31.1% to $1.74 billion vs Q2 FY25

Energy Storage net sales climbed to $1.28 billion, up 77.9%, while average realized price rose 60.5% to $19.53/kg LCE.
Specialties net sales increased to $423.5 million, up 20.5%, while adjusted EBITDA rose to $117.7 million, up 61.3%.
Q2 results improve on higher sales and earnings
Albemarle posted Q2 net sales of $1.74 billion, up 31% year over year, while net income swung to $480 million.
- Diluted EPS swung to $3.52.
- Adjusted EBITDA rose to $858 million, more than doubled from a year earlier.
Management commentary and capital spending outlook
Kent Masters cited improved pricing, strength in Specialties, cost execution, and cash generation. Albemarle also cut its 2026 capex outlook to about $500 million.
