Equity earnings from Kronos turned to $4.6 million from a $2.8 million loss; Kronos net sales rose 13% to $558.1 million.
Unrealized gains on marketable equity securities were $0.5 million versus a $0.1 million loss; interest and dividend income slipped to $1.2 million from $1.5 million.
