Alibaba Creates CEO-Led Token Hub to Unify Five AI Units and Oversee Devices
Alibaba launched the Alibaba Token Hub unit, led by CEO Eddie Wu, to consolidate Tongyi Laboratory, MaaS, Qwen, Wukong and AI Innovation teams under a unified AI group. The unit will oversee DingTalk and Quark devices, integrate Qwen models across consumer and enterprise services and accelerate AI deployment.
1. Formation of ATH Business Group
Alibaba has formed the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) Business Group to centralize its artificial intelligence initiatives. The unit aims to accelerate adoption of the Qwen AI models and streamline integration of AI capabilities across the company’s offerings.
2. Leadership and Structure
ATH will be led directly by CEO Eddie Wu and brings together five core AI entities: Tongyi Laboratory for multimodal foundation models, the MaaS Business Line for technical infrastructure, the Qwen Business Unit for personal AI assistants, the Wukong Business Unit for enterprise work platforms, and the AI Innovation Business Unit for emerging applications.
3. Strategic Mandate and Oversight
The new group’s mission is to create tokens, deliver tokens and apply tokens to drive strategic coordination across AI projects. ATH will also manage the DingTalk workplace platform and Quark-branded devices, embedding AI into workflows and speeding model deployment.
