Alibaba international commerce division launched Accio Work, a plug-and-play agentic AI platform that autonomously runs complex SME operations without coding, while requiring explicit permissions for financial transactions and private data. The company also spun off its AI units into Alibaba Token Hub and recently introduced enterprise-focused Wukong platform.

1. Launch of Accio Work agentic AI platform

Alibaba’s international commerce arm unveiled Accio Work, a plug-and-play AI taskforce designed to autonomously execute complex small and medium-enterprise tasks without coding or setup. The platform enforces granular user permission for financial transactions, payment execution and private file access to balance automation with security.

2. Introduction of enterprise-focused Wukong platform

Less than a week earlier, another division rolled out Wukong, an agentic AI system that coordinates multiple AI agents to perform document editing, spreadsheet updates, meeting transcription and research within a unified interface for business users.

3. Formation of Alibaba Token Hub

Alibaba separated its AI operations from its cloud computing business, creating the Alibaba Token Hub under CEO Eddie Wu. The new group targets digital assistants powered by high-token AI models to support specialized enterprise applications beyond standard Q&A chatbots.

4. Strategic outlook and risk mitigation

By focusing on specialized B2B AI agents and embedding human approval layers, Alibaba aims to mitigate risks associated with broad-use models in vertical business tasks. This push reinforces Alibaba’s position in the global agentic AI race and could enhance long-term enterprise value.
