Alkermes’ alixorexton posts positive Phase 2 Vibrance-1 results in narcolepsy type 1 study

Positive Phase 2 readouts supported the launch of the global Phase 3 Brilliance program testing once-daily and split-dose regimens in narcolepsy types 1 and 2.
Phase 2 Vibrance-1 results published in The Lancet Neurology
Alkermes reported publication of positive Phase 2 Vibrance-1 results for alixorexton in adults with narcolepsy type 1 in The Lancet Neurology.
Results were previously announced, not newly presented, showing improved daytime wakefulness and sleepiness measures versus placebo.
Study findings included cataplexy reduction and patient-reported benefits
The study also indicated reduced cataplexy at one dose, with broader patient-reported benefits in daily functioning.
The safety profile appeared generally well tolerated, with mostly mild-to-moderate adverse events and no serious treatment-emergent events reported.
