Alliant Energy unit Interstate Power and Light priced a public offering of $500 million 5.1% senior debentures due 2031.
The senior debentures mature on Sept. 30, 2031.
Net proceeds are earmarked to cut receivables program borrowings, reduce commercial paper, or fund general corporate purposes.
Closing is expected on Aug. 21, subject to customary conditions.
