Allstate Awards $5.25 Million to 11 Nonprofits for Community Trust-Building
Allstate and Aspen Institute’s Alliance for Social Trust have awarded $5.25 million to 11 nonprofit collaborations across 10 states through the 2026 Trust in Practice Awards. Funding tiers include three $1 million, four $500,000 and four $100,000 grants plus a $500,000 learning fund.

Allstate and the Aspen Institute’s Alliance for Social Trust announced allocation of $5.25 million through the 2026 Trust in Practice Awards to support nonprofit-led trust-building initiatives nationwide.

Eleven collaborations across 10 states were selected, including $1 million grants to the West Virginia Community Development Hub and KABOOM! in Texas, $500 000 to Common Ground USA in New Orleans and four $100 000 awards to local coalitions in New York, Ohio, New Jersey and Chicago.

Grant tiers consist of three $1 million awards, four $500 000 awards and four $100 000 awards, with an additional $500 000 acceleration and learning fund and $250 000 to 25 finalists for further trust-building efforts.

Allstate’s research shows 59% of Americans trust neighbors versus 41% nationwide, 68% engage locally and 78% of high-trust individuals are community-engaged, underscoring the focus on local relationships and participation.
