Alphabet has begun rolling out Android 17 on Pixel devices, introducing Bubbles multitasking for floating apps and a dedicated Bubbles taskbar section on foldables. The update also adds Screen Reactions for video overlays directly on phone screens, alongside privacy enhancements including one-time location access, improved approximate-location controls and strengthened Lost Mode protections.
2. Future AI Enhancements and Competitive Outlook
Later this year Android 17 will gain Gemini Intelligence features, smarter voice dictation, redesigned emojis and vibe-coded widgets across Pixel 11 series and selected Samsung models.
