Alphabet Rolls Out TPU 8t/8i Chips and Partners on Nvidia Vera Rubin Integration

Alphabet shares climbed nearly 2% after Google unveiled TPU 8t training chips, TPU 8i inference chips and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at its Cloud Next event. It also partnered with Nvidia to integrate Vera Rubin chips into Google Cloud’s next-generation A5X infrastructure.

1. New TPU 8t and 8i Chips

Google introduced TPU 8t, optimized for AI model training, and TPU 8i for inference workloads. In a strategic collaboration, Google will integrate Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips into its upcoming A5X Cloud infrastructure. This arrangement ensures continued access to Nvidia hardware alongside Google’s custom TPUs, offering customers flexible compute options for diverse AI workloads.
