Alphabet Unveils Four AI Platforms While Facing High-Hundreds Million Euro EU Fine

At its annual developer conference, Alphabet introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash, a faster and more cost-efficient large language model; Omni, a world model designed to simulate physical environments; Gemini Spark, an autonomous AI agent; and Antigravity 2.0, a desktop application hub. The demonstration showcased new API integrations and hosted live demos to illustrate real-time use cases in enterprise search, robotics and creative workflows.

These launches mark Alphabet’s most comprehensive AI rollout to date, aiming to rival OpenAI’s GPT-4 series and Anthropic’s Claude models. With improved inference speed and multi-modal capabilities, Google seeks to drive broader enterprise adoption and counter competitors in both cloud AI services and on-device intelligence.

Separately, EU regulators are set to impose a triple-digit million euro penalty under the Digital Markets Act, focusing on whether Google’s search ranking gives its own services unfair advantages. The European Commission’s final decision is anticipated before the summer break, raising questions about potential changes to core search algorithms and compliance costs.
