Amazon and the U.S. Army tested Amazon Leo’s low Earth orbit satellite network in a live demo that recorded peak download speeds exceeding 400 Mbps. They plan follow-on tests of higher-speed links, mobile use cases and integration with Army tactical networks.

1. Live connectivity test

Amazon partnered with the U.S. Army’s DEVCOM C5ISR Center to test its Amazon Leo satellite network. At Aberdeen Proving Ground, a live demonstration showed the Leo Pro antenna delivering peak download speeds exceeding 400 Mbps. The partners plan further tests covering higher-speed links, mobile use cases and integration with existing Army tactical networks.
