Amazon hires banks for first sterling bond sale
AMZN•Amazon plans first sterling bond sale
LONDON, Sept. 8 (Reuters) - Amazon hired banks on Tuesday to sell its first sterling bond, according to a memo from one of the banks managing the sale seen by Reuters.
The company is looking to sell three-year, six-year, 12-year and 19-year bonds, the memo said, adding the transaction may come as early as Wednesday, subject to market conditions.
Hyperscalers like Amazon are increasingly selling bonds across markets outside of the U.S. as they face huge funding needs for the AI transition.
