Amazon Raises €14.5 Billion Bond, Expands Now Service to 300 Indian Cities with $13 Billion Investment

It is expanding Amazon Now delivery to 300+ Indian cities and will invest an extra $13 billion in AI and cloud infrastructure there.
1. Record Multi-Currency Bond Issuance
Amazon.com has tapped global debt markets for more than $60 billion this year, issuing bonds in euros, sterling and yen to diversify funding. Its eight-part €14.5 billion March offering set a record in the euro corporate market and will support escalating AI-driven capital outlays estimated at $725 billion.
2. Rapid-Delivery Rollout in India
Amazon is scaling its Amazon Now ultra-fast delivery service from 15 to over 300 cities and towns, backed by plans to invest an additional $13 billion in AI and cloud infrastructure in the region. This expansion targets the $11 billion rapid-commerce segment, intensifying competition with local players Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.
