AMZN•Amazon committed an additional $13 billion to expand its 10-minute delivery network to over 300 Indian cities, doubling its presence from 15 locations. Rapid-commerce rivals Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart have plunged 28% and 47% respectively, wiping out more than $15 billion in market value.
1. Incumbents Suffer $15B Rout

2. Amazon Accelerates Delivery Expansion
Amazon Now, launched last year with service in 15 locations, will scale to more than 300 Indian cities and towns and is backed by a fresh $13 billion investment in local AI and cloud infrastructure.
3. Flipkart Builds Dark Store Network
Flipkart Minutes has expanded to 1,000 dark stores across 130 cities in under two years and plans to grow to 1,500 stores serving over 180 cities in the coming months to challenge existing rapid-commerce players.
4. Intensified Competition Pressures Profitability
High promotional spending and rapid network growth have depressed near-term margins, prompting Zepto to pursue up to $1 billion in IPO funding to bolster its war chest against market leaders Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.
