Amazon will close its 58 Fresh and 14 Go stores by early February, converting many into Whole Foods outlets and cutting thousands of jobs with severance support. It plans to open 100+ new Whole Foods stores and expand perishable same-day delivery—where sales grew 40×—to over 5,000 cities.
