1. Expansion Plans

Amazon will extend its Amazon Now ultra-fast delivery service beyond Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru to 100 Indian cities by 2026, adding major metros like Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata as well as smaller markets such as Mangalore and Visakhapatnam.

2. Micro-Fulfilment Centre Network

The rollout is supported by more than 1,000 technology-enabled micro-fulfilment centres designed to stock products near customers based on local demand trends, aiming to reduce delivery lead times across its new markets.

3. Farmer Integration

As part of the expansion, Amazon Now will onboard over 16,000 farmers to supply fresh produce directly through platform sellers, enhancing the service’s selection of everyday essentials including groceries and personal care items.

4. Investment and Future Rollout

Backed by over $300m in investment focused on associate safety, health and operations, the company also plans to introduce its rapid delivery service in the US and Europe following early traction in India and the UAE.
