Amazon Video to Stream Masters with $20M Sponsors and Joins Project Glasswing
Amazon Video will stream exclusive live coverage of The Masters before handing off to CBS, with three sponsors paying $20 million each and the tournament driving $120 million in economic impact. Amazon also joined Project Glasswing as one of the first firms testing Anthropic’s Mythos AI model to bolster its cybersecurity.
1. Masters Live Streaming Partnership
Amazon Video will provide two hours of exclusive live coverage of The Masters at Augusta National before handing off to CBS, backed by three primary sponsors—AT&T, IBM and Mercedes-Benz—each contributing approximately $20 million annually. The tournament generates around $120 million in local economic impact through ticket sales, hospitality packages and merchandise.
2. Cybersecurity Collaboration via Project Glasswing
Amazon is among a select group of companies enlisted in Project Glasswing to test Anthropic’s Mythos AI model internally for identifying and addressing system vulnerabilities. Government officials from the Treasury and Federal Reserve encouraged systemically important firms to deploy Mythos against their own infrastructure, noting its ability to uncover potential browser exploits during initial trials.
