AMC said it set the highest weekend revenue mark in its 106-year history.

More than 10.2 million moviegoers attended AMC Theatres in the U.S. and ODEON Cinemas globally from Wednesday through Sunday.

Driven by film releases

AMC said admissions and food-and-beverage revenue reached record weekend highs, driven by the opening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day while The Odyssey continued its strong run.

Shares rise in premarket trading

Shares of U.S. theater chain AMC Entertainment rise 6% premarket.
Up to last close, the stock was up 80.8% year to date.
