AMD CEO says company continues to explore foundry partnership with Samsung Electronics
AMD•AMD CEO Lisa Su said the company continues to explore partnership opportunities with Samsung Electronics in memory and foundry businesses. She said data center demand remains very strong and AMD relies on Korean suppliers.

Su said AMD continues to explore partnership opportunities with Samsung Electronics in memory and foundry businesses. In March, the companies signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their strategic partnership on memory chip supplies for AI infrastructure and said they would discuss foundry opportunities.
2. Memory supply and demand
Su said AMD is working with customers to optimize their memory footprint in response to tight memory chip supply, and encouraged memory suppliers to build faster. She said AMD relies on the Korean supply chain and that Samsung and SK Hynix are key to its data center ambitions. Su also said data center demand remained very strong, with strong demand signals across AMD’s product portfolio.
