AMD plans major investment in Anthropic tied to chip purchase deal

July 22 (Reuters) - Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.O) will invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic as part of a deal under which the AI startup will purchase up to 2 gigawatts of AMD's next-generation AI chips, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.
