1. Gold Card Benefit Upgrades
American Express has upgraded its Gold Card with 5X Membership Rewards points on prepaid hotel bookings, up from the prior 2X rate. Cardholders now enjoy complimentary Hertz Five Star status benefits—skip-the-counter service, free additional drivers, and potential vehicle upgrades—and retain the $120 annual dining credit under the unchanged $325 fee.
2. 60th Anniversary Offers
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Gold Card offers limited-time statement credits: up to $96 for an annual Uber One membership through October 30, 2026, and a 20% bonus when transferring Membership Rewards points to Hilton Honors accounts until May 30, 2026. The card also features special rates and perks at over 250 Hotel Collection properties, including complimentary extra nights and property credits.
3. Digital and Experiential Updates
Card members can now access an improved digital experience in the Amex mobile app, featuring streamlined benefit enrollment, usage tracking, curated Amex Offers and Resy restaurant recommendations. Later this summer, The Summer Seat by Amex Gold & Resy will host exclusive outdoor dining events in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago with early reservation access and onsite perks for Gold Card holders.
