American Resources’ affiliate ReElement is installing equipment for its first germanium and gallium line at its 42-acre Marion, Indiana refining campus, targeting Q3 2026 commercial output. Phase 1’s four-line platform will occupy up to 200,000 square feet and eventually yield over 16,000 metric tons annually.
ReElement’s Marion campus spans 42 acres with over 400,000 square feet of industrial space. Phase 1 will utilize 160,000–200,000 square feet to install four refining lines, collectively designed to produce more than 16,000 metric tons of high-purity rare earth and critical mineral products per year once fully commissioned.
The first production line targets germanium and gallium output, with equipment largely on site or in assembly. Commercial operations for this line are slated for Q3 2026, aiming to deliver over 500 metric tons of 99.5%+ purity germanium annually.
Each line will process recycled materials, industrial byproducts and primary concentrates tailored to customer specifications. Deployment will proceed in stages through Q1 2027, creating roughly 100 jobs initially and up to 300 positions as the campus expands its modular refining platform.
