American Water unveiled its 2025 Camden Community Investment Report, highlighting nearly $9 million awarded since 2018 by American Water, New Jersey American Water and the American Water Charitable Foundation to support local projects and organizations that serve Camden residents.

The company’s collaboration with the City of Camden dates back to the 19th century, with New Jersey American Water operating water supply and distribution systems in Cramer Hill and East Camden under a long-standing contract with the municipal utilities division.

Key initiatives in the report include employee engagement and local partnerships, infrastructure upgrades to ensure safe, clean and reliable water services while protecting waterways and improving neighborhoods, and grant programs such as the Keep Communities Flowing Grant supporting youth development and environmental education through partnerships like the Center for Aquatic Sciences.
