American Water is marking Fix a Leak Week by distributing free leak-detection kits and sharing practical tips for spotting and fixing common household leaks—such as toilet flappers, dripping faucets and appliance hoses—to help customers conserve water and reduce monthly bills.

The company will invest up to $48 billion over the next decade to modernize water and wastewater systems, replacing aging pipes, upgrading distribution networks and expanding advanced leak-detection sensors across its service footprint in 14 states and 18 military installations.
