2. Key Environmental and Energy Metrics

In 2025, the company reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 21.0% from 2021 levels, generated 30,822 MWh of renewable energy at 46 carbon-free sites and allocated over $23 million to LED lighting, automated refrigeration controls and energy-optimization projects.

3. Waste and Safety Performance

Americold achieved a 24.4% waste diversion rate and completed 912 site-level energy audits. Safety metrics—TRIR, DART and LTIR—remained more than 40% below U.S. refrigerated warehousing industry averages, reinforcing its position as a reliable cold chain provider.

4. Industry Recognition and Data-Driven Governance

The company was named a GRESB Sector Leader for the Americas in Industrial – Standing Investments, benchmarking its performance against third-party frameworks. Over 90% of facilities now capture real-time utility data to drive continuous efficiency improvements and transparent governance.
