AMTD•AMTD IDEA has agreed to acquire the London office tower at 40 Furnival Street for US$17 million without using external financing. The 9,646 sq ft Grade A building steps from Chancery Lane and the Elizabeth line at Farringdon will serve as global headquarters for AMTD, The Art Newspaper and L’Officiel.
1. Acquisition Terms
AMTD IDEA entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the office tower at 40 Furnival Street, London EC4A 1JQ, for approximately US$17 million (GBP 12 million). The transaction is structured to close without drawing on external financing, including the previously announced term loan facility.
2. Property Features
The asset comprises 9,646 sq ft of Grade A office and ancillary accommodation across six floors, including a fifth-floor roof terrace. It is strategically located within 100 meters of Chancery Lane station and a short walk from the Elizabeth line interchange at Farringdon, benefiting from high foot traffic and premium retail amenities.

Upon completion, the building will house AMTD’s global headquarters alongside The Art Newspaper and L’Officiel, enhancing AMTD’s ecosystem and brand visibility in one of London’s most dynamic commercial districts.
