MDA Space Secures Antenna Contract for BAE Systems’ 2027 Missile Warning Satellites
MDA•MDA Space has been selected by BAE Systems to design and build antennas and control electronics for the U.S. Space Systems Command’s MEO EPOCH 2 Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking satellites. The contract, added to MDA Space’s fiscal 2026 first-quarter backlog, covers delivery by 2027 and builds on the company’s prior Tranche 0–2 and EPOCH 1 missile defence work.

MDA Space has been selected by BAE Systems to support the U.S. Space Systems Command’s MEO EPOCH 2 Constellation program. The firm will design and manufacture antennas and control electronics for the Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking satellites that form part of the multi-orbit missile defence architecture.
2. Scope and Timeline
The award was added to MDA Space’s backlog in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, with work scheduled for completion in 2027. MDA Space will leverage its high-volume production infrastructure to deliver critical payload technologies on the established timeline.
3. Strategic Significance
This contract extends MDA Space’s participation beyond previous Tranche 0–2 Transport and Tracking layers and the SSC’s EPOCH 1 constellation.
