Anixa Biosciences Vaccine Elicits 74% Response; CAR-T Trial Shows Year-Plus Survival
ANIX•Anixa Biosciences' breast cancer vaccine met all primary endpoints and elicited protocol-defined immune responses in 74% of Phase 1 participants. Its ovarian cancer CAR-T therapy (lira-cel) showed multiple patients surviving over one year in an ongoing Phase 1 trial with Moffitt Cancer Center.
1. Breast Cancer Vaccine Phase 1 Results
Anixa’s breast cancer vaccine, developed with Cleveland Clinic, completed its Phase 1 trial and met all major primary endpoints. The vaccine was safe and well tolerated at the maximum tolerated dose, eliciting protocol-defined immune responses in 74% of participants.
2. Ovarian Cancer CAR-T Therapy Survival Data
The ongoing Phase 1 trial of liraltagene autoleucel (lira-cel) for recurrent ovarian cancer has reported positive survival observations, with multiple patients living more than one year post-treatment. This CAR-T therapy targets the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor to selectively attack tumor cells.
3. Strategic Collaborations and Pipeline Progress
Anixa is advancing its immunotherapy pipeline through partnerships with leading institutions including Cleveland Clinic for its vaccine programs and Moffitt Cancer Center for its CAR-T therapy. These collaborations provide access to trial sites and scientific expertise to accelerate development.
