Anterix Secures First 10 MHz 900 MHz Deal, Adds Tenth Utility Customer
Anterix signed its first sale agreement for its new 10 MHz 900 MHz broadband configuration with NorthWestern Energy, nearly doubling spectrum capacity for utilities. This deal marks the tenth utility customer to adopt Anterix’s private networks and underscores its TowerX and CatalyX deployment programs.
1. Sale Agreement with NorthWestern Energy
Anterix signed a milestone agreement with NorthWestern Energy for deployment of its new 10 MHz broadband configuration in the 900 MHz band, marking the first planned use of this expanded spectrum offering by a utility customer.
2. Expanded Spectrum Capacity
This deployment follows FCC approval to expand Anterix’s broadband spectrum allocation, effectively almost doubling capacity available for utilities and enabling real-time control of remote powerlines, resilient connectivity, and enhanced monitoring in challenging terrain.
3. Deployment and Ecosystem Growth
With NorthWestern Energy as its tenth utility customer, Anterix leverages its TowerX nationwide tower access and CatalyX connectivity management programs alongside an ecosystem of over 150 technology innovators to accelerate private network rollouts.
