Apple names insider Steve Smith as new M&A chief, memo shows
AAPL•Apple appointed Steve Smith as head of mergers and acquisitions and moved Adrian Perica to its services leadership team, where Perica will report to Eddy Cue. The memo also said Smith will report to CFO Kevan Parekh.

Apple appointed insider Steve Smith as head of mergers and acquisitions, while Adrian Perica will dedicate his efforts entirely to the services leadership team and report to services chief Eddy Cue, a memo said. Perica has spent more than 17 years in Apple’s M&A and corporate development function.
2. Services and App Store
Perica took oversight of iCloud, Fitness+ and News, among other businesses, in 2023. Cue wrote, “We have big plans for services and I'm thrilled to be getting more of Adrian's time.” The company is also promoting Carson Oliver to vice president of the App Store, reportedly.
