Hercules Capital issues $400 million of 6.7% unsecured notes due 2029
HTGC•Hercules Capital issued $400 million of 6.7% unsecured notes due Oct. 8, 2029, with proceeds intended for debt repayment, investments and general corporate purposes.
1. Note terms
Hercules Capital entered a supplemental indenture with U.S. Bank Trust Company, National Association, for the notes, which closed Oct. 8, 2026. Interest is payable semiannually on April 8 and Oct. 8, beginning April 8, 2027. The notes are unsecured and may be redeemed at par with a make-whole premium, if applicable.
2. Use of proceeds
The company plans to use net proceeds to repay outstanding unsecured or secured borrowings under financing arrangements, fund investments and support general corporate purposes. The notes rank senior to expressly subordinated debt, equally with other unsubordinated liabilities and effectively junior to secured debt.
