1. Siri AI Overview
Apple revealed its reinvented Siri AI during WWDC 2026, highlighting a beta rollout slated for later this year. The new assistant can understand user requests by pulling context directly from apps, enabling seamless access to content without manual app navigation.
2. Google Partnership
In January, Apple entered an agreement to integrate Google’s Gemini Frontier models, including Flash-Lite, Flash, Pro, and Image variants, into Siri AI. Apple emphasizes it uses only model outputs and not Google’s customer-facing infrastructure or search capabilities.
3. Apple Frontier Models and Privacy
Apple developed its own Frontier Models using proprietary data and reinforcement learning, then refined them with Gemini outputs to enhance performance. All AI processing occurs within Apple’s Private Cloud Compute environment, ensuring user data remains protected and off of Google Search systems.
