Archer Aviation currently carries a market capitalization of approximately $6 billion, trading well below the levels implied by a hundredfold gain scenario. Such a milestone would place Archer among the world’s most valuable industrial enterprises. In 2021, Morgan Stanley estimated the global low-altitude mobility market could reach $9 trillion by 2050. Capturing just 6 percent of that market would translate into more than $500 billion in enterprise value, underscoring the company’s long-term upside if it can overcome near-term hurdles.

The primary impediment to Archer’s commercial operations remains Federal Aviation Administration type certification for its Midnight eVTOL aircraft. Without this approval, the company cannot generate revenue by carrying fare-paying passengers. Archer has progressed through multiple phases of the FAA’s evaluation process but has yet to secure a definitive timeline for final sign-off. Investors should view this as the single largest execution risk: any further delays or additional design modifications could push back revenue generation by quarters or even years, keeping the stock in speculative territory for the foreseeable future.

Despite being pre-revenue, Archer has assembled an ambitious pipeline of partnerships and pilot programs. In mid-December, the company submitted proposals under the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program in five states—California, Georgia, Florida, New York and Texas—with the FAA expected to announce selections in 2026. Separately, Archer was chosen as the exclusive air taxi provider for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and is in advanced talks with officials in Saudi Arabia to deploy intercity eVTOL services. These initiatives establish potential launch markets and could drive initial passenger operations once certification is secured.
