1. Assessment completed
Aris Mining completed the ESIA for its Soto Norte gold-copper project in Santander, Colombia, ahead of environmental licensing. Community engagement is scheduled to start in October in Matanza, Suratá and California, with feedback to be considered before the ESIA is submitted.
2. Project and licensing
The project targets 4.6 million ounces of gold reserves at 7.0 g/t and plans a 3,500-tonne-per-day mill, with 750 tonnes per day allocated to local miners. Aris Mining expects to decide on construction once it secures the environmental license; the mine plan received ANM sign-off on July 29, 2026. The La Baja reserve was revoked and a temporary reserve extension cancelled, restoring the March 4, 2027 expiry date.
