Ark Innovation ETF Buys $14.5M Amazon, $2.6M Alibaba, Sells $4.9M TSMC
Ark Innovation ETF purchased 66,934 Amazon shares worth ~$14.5M and 19,583 Alibaba shares worth ~$2.6M, while trimming 13,663 Taiwan Semiconductor shares for ~$4.9M and selling 1.4M Nextdoor shares for ~$2.3M. It also acquired 200,856 Joby Aviation shares valued at ~$2M.
1. Ark Adds Amazon Shares
Ark Innovation ETF acquired 66,934 Amazon shares across five funds for approximately $14.5 million at a $216.82 closing price, marking a strategic shift into large-cap e-commerce after Amazon reported Q4 revenue of $213.39 billion and plans to lift capex to $200 billion.
2. Increased Alibaba Position
Ark purchased 19,583 Alibaba shares via ARKK and ARKW for about $2.6 million at $133.27 per share following leadership changes in Alibaba’s Qwen AI division that saw head Lin Junyang depart after Qwen users surged to 203 million in February.
3. Joby Aviation Stake Purchase
Ark acquired 200,856 Joby Aviation shares through ARKQ and ARKX for roughly $2 million at a $9.89 closing price; Joby’s Q4 earnings beat EPS estimates at a loss of $0.14 and posted revenue of $30.78 million.
4. TSMC and Nextdoor Divestments
The fund reduced its Taiwan Semiconductor stake by selling 13,663 shares for around $4.9 million at $357.44 and divested 1,405,207 Nextdoor shares for about $2.3 million at $1.67, following investor concerns over semiconductor profitability and Nextdoor’s narrowed Q4 net loss to $4 million.
