Asarian Energy says Namibia renews Namibplaas uranium prospecting licence to September 2028
URA•URA•URA•URA•Asarian Energy said Namibia renewed its prospecting licence for the Namibplaas uranium deposit for two years, through September 2028. The company plans additional drilling ahead of a resource-data review targeted for completion by the end of December 2026.
The renewal of licence EPL 3638 keeps exploration and resource work active at Namibplaas, part of the Norasa Project alongside the Valencia uranium deposit. Additional drilling is planned before a review of the May 2024 mineral resource estimate, targeted for completion by the end of December 2026; the program aims to upgrade parts of the deposit’s resources from Inferred to Indicated and could support an update of the project’s 2015 feasibility study.
The May 2024 estimate lists Inferred resources of 218.7 million tonnes at 85 ppm eU3O8, containing 41.1 million lb U3O8.
