Ascendis Pharma's TransCon PTH shows sustained kidney function gains in trials lasting up to 5 years
ASND•Ascendis Pharma said pooled results from Phase 2 PaTH Forward and Phase 3 PaTHway showed sustained kidney function improvements in 139 adults with hypoparathyroidism treated with TransCon PTH for up to five years.
1. Trial results
The post-hoc analysis, presented at Kidney Week 2026, found early kidney function gains were maintained through trial completion. Most patients became independent of conventional therapy, with improvements in blood and urinary calcium levels.
2. Safety findings
TransCon PTH was generally well tolerated, with no new safety signals. Most treatment-emergent adverse events were mild to moderate.
