ASPI Subsidiary Adds Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar and Kevin Kramer to Advisory Board

ASPIASPI

ASPI’s Quantum Leap Energy unit has established a Strategic Advisory Board, appointing nuclear fuel experts Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar and materials executive Kevin Kramer to guide development. QLE aims to leverage proprietary ASP and laser-based QE enrichment technologies to cut capital costs, accelerate site deployment, and bolster nuclear fuel supply partnerships.

1. Strategic Advisory Board Formation

Quantum Leap Energy, ASPI’s wholly owned subsidiary focused on nuclear fuels, has formed a Strategic Advisory Board with two initial members. The board will offer guidance on closing gaps in the nuclear fuel cycle, promoting safety, and supporting commercial entry of advanced reactor and fusion systems.

2. Profiles of Advisory Board Members

Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar serves as associate dean and senior reactor operator at Idaho State University, with extensive experience in nuclear materials research, curriculum development, and reactor administration. Kevin Kramer brings decades of business development expertise from Allegheny Technologies and Alcoa, with deep government procurement networks and a record of securing defense and energy funding.

3. Implications for QLE’s Technology Strategy

QLE plans to utilize its proprietary Aerodynamic Separation Process and laser-based Quantum Enrichment technologies to enhance isotopic enrichment, lowering capital expenditures and construction timelines. Modular, scalable designs with automation and digital monitoring aim to strengthen supply chain resilience and accelerate deployment for medical, energy, and industrial isotopes.
