AstraZeneca’s Trixeo Aerosphere won a positive CHMP opinion for EU approval in maintenance asthma treatment for patients aged 12 and older.
Recommendation was backed by Phase III KALOS and LOGOS data showing improved lung function, lower annualized severe exacerbation rates versus ICS/LABA therapy.
Clearance would add a second European indication for Trixeo beyond COPD.
