Atlas Critical Minerals defines 17.2 million-tonne indicated graphite resource in Brazil
ATCX•Atlas Critical Minerals reported an indicated resource of 17.2 million tonnes at 5.73% graphitic carbon at its Malacacheta project in Brazil, containing about 986,000 tonnes of graphite. It also reported an inferred resource of 7.0 million tonnes at 5.40%, containing about 378,000 tonnes.
1. Resource estimate
Atlas Critical Minerals published a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Malacacheta Graphite Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. At a 2.0% cut-off, the estimate includes 17.2 million tonnes indicated at 5.73% graphitic carbon and 7.0 million tonnes inferred at 5.40%.
2. Further work planned
The estimate covers one of three tenements. Drilling tested about 2.5 km of an 11-km corridor, leaving about 8.5 km untested. Atlas targets a preliminary economic assessment in Q2 2027 and plans drilling, resource upgrades and additional metallurgical testwork.
