Atmos Energy President and CEO J. Kevin Akers is to become chairman at the 2027 annual shareholder meeting, subject to re-election. Kim R. Cocklin will retire as chairman and leave the board at that meeting, combining the chairman and CEO roles under a leadership structure approved Nov. 3, 2026.
