aTyr Pharma submits Phase 3 efzofitimod trial protocol to FDA for pulmonary sarcoidosis study

aTyr Pharma said it completed enrollment in its Phase 2 EFZO-CONNECT study of efzofitimod in SSc-ILD, with topline results expected in Q1 2027.
The study is designed to assess whether efzofitimod can improve patient condition and symptoms versus placebo; no new results were reported.
Management prioritized efzofitimod in ILD to conserve cash ahead of late-stage development. Cash and investments totaled $58.9 million at June 30, 2026.
Phase 3 protocol submitted for pulmonary sarcoidosis
aTyr Pharma submitted a Phase 3 efzofitimod trial protocol to the FDA for a pulmonary sarcoidosis study.
The Phase 3 trial is planned to test whether efzofitimod can slow or reverse lung function decline while improving patient-reported outcomes. FDA feedback on the submitted protocol is expected by the end of August 2026.
