Aura Minerals agrees to acquire mining fleet operator for R$ 612 million
AUGO•Aura Minerals agreed to acquire the company operating fleets, equipment leases and workforce at three of its gold mines for an enterprise value of R$ 612 million. The deal includes up to R$ 250 million in cash, and Aura estimates it could reduce weighted-average AISC by USD 150 to USD 200 per ounce from 2027.
1. Deal terms
Aura Minerals agreed to acquire a company holding mining fleets, equipment leases and workforce serving its Apoena, Almas and Borborema gold mines. The enterprise value is R$ 612 million, including up to R$ 250 million in cash, with the balance mainly in assumed lease financing.
2. Planned transition
Aura is targeting January 2027 to bring fleet operations and maintenance in-house and absorb the contractor workforce. Internal estimates point to a weighted-average AISC reduction of USD 150 to USD 200 per ounce from 2027. Completion is subject to customary closing conditions, including antitrust clearance in Brazil.
