Aurora Cannabis has acquired Safari Flower Company for $26.5 million, including a contingent $2 million cash payment, adding a 59,000 sq ft EU GMP-certified cultivation and manufacturing facility. 1. Acquisition of Safari Flower Company
Aurora Cannabis acquired 100% of Safari Flower Company for an aggregate consideration of $26.5 million. The deal includes issuance of 2,417,180 common shares, a $15 million cash payment subject to post-closing adjustments, and a $2 million contingent cash payment upon satisfaction of certain conditions.
2. Expanded EU GMP Capacity
The acquisition adds a 59,000 square foot, purpose-built EU GMP-certified indoor cultivation and manufacturing facility in Ontario. This incremental capacity aligns with Aurora’s existing sites and will supply EU GMP-approved flower to key international markets including Germany, Australia, Poland and the UK.
3. Financial Impact and Outlook
The transaction is expected to contribute positive adjusted EBITDA in fiscal 2027, with additional benefits in fiscal 2028 and beyond as the assets are optimized. Aurora plans to leverage its plant science expertise to improve yields, drive operational efficiencies and capture greater high-margin market share internationally.
